Megan Anna Rapinoe grew up in California, Redding. The place she was born on July 5th, 1985. Megan first began playing soccer when she was an infant and developed her skills during her teenage years. She then attended at the University of Portland in Oregon along with her twin sister fraternal Rachael Rapinoe. Megan Rapinoe, a member of the team that played soccer at the university became one of the top scorers of women's collegiate soccer throughout the United States. Her team had to take a break from the season throughout her junior and sophomore years due to a knee injury. As a senior she played every single game returning to her sport fully. Rapinoe joined in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Independence for a moment before being transfered in Boca Raton Florida. The magicJack finished third that year following Rapinoe's scores. MagicJack disbanded at the end in 2011, and WPS folded early in 2012. Rapinoe began participating within the Australian W-League with Sydney Football Club FC before moving back in her home in the United States. The next team she joined was Seattle Washington Sounders Women. Then came the Sound FC. Rapinoe was living in France during the 2013 season. Later, she became a member of the National Women's Soccer League NWSL (formerly the WPS) that was formed as a reaction to the WPS's demise. Rapinoe eventually rose to the role of captain and became one of the club's top scorers.
